- Safeguarding Diversity in News Recommendation (2022-)
- Hua Lu (PI in Computer Science), Jannie Møller Hartley (PI in Journalism)
- This project investigates how news recommendation models can be redesigned or adjusted to fit different normative goals of news diversity in a Danish context.
- Funded by VILLUM FONDEN's Villum Synergy programme.
- AI-Powered Spatial Databases (2021-)
- This project focuses on applying AI models to enabling more time-efficient and less space-consuming management (e.g., indexing and querying) of big spatial data that is massive, heterogeneous and dynamic.
- Funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark (Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond).
- Data Management Foundations for Indoor LBS (2019-2024)
- This project is intended to establish general data management foundations and design novel data related technologies for indoor LBS applications.
- Funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark (Danmarks Frie Forskningsfond).
- Management and Applications of Indoor-Space Trajectory Data (2016-2018)
- This project handles uncertain indoor trajectory data that is captured by systems using technologies like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
- Funded by Overseas Collaboration Grant of The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
- BagTrack/Styr på bagagen (2012-2015)
- Torben Bach Pedersen (PI), Hua Lu (co-PI)
- A project dedicated to improving bag handling in aviation industry globally through RFID-tracking of airport baggage.
- Funded by The Danish National Advanced Technology Foundation (now Innovation Fund Denmark).
- NILTEK (2010-2014)
- A partnering project to BagTrack, focusing on cleansing RFID tracking data.
- Funded by EU Regional Development Fund.
